International students practice English and job skills at University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)

June 14, 2018 - A Canadian educational institution, the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), is providing a class to help international students secure jobs during and after their studies.

"These students have lots of skills, but they have to communicate those skills in ways that match what employers want to hear," says UPEI instructor Bonnie Stewart.

The class is composed of online modules and face-to-face workshops. Once their resumes are prepared, the students role-play interviews and provide feedback.

"This class helps me showcase myself by translating what I've learned in my academic classes and how it relates to employment,” says Cai Lim, an international student at UPEI.
