Scholarships available for joint research projects between Canada and Brazil

October 1, 2019 – Global Affairs Canada and the Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES) of Brazil are offering scholarships to support team-oriented research projects, between Canadian and Brazilian universities, in mutually beneficial research fields.

  • Program name: Canada-Brazil Awards - Joint Research Projects
  • Funding organizations: Global Affairs Canada and the Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education of Brazil (CAPES)
  • Target audiences: Canadian and Brazilian professors and graduate students
  • Duration: Overall project duration of 2 years (each year, Canadian professors will travel to Brazil for a minimum of 7 days and Canadian students will travel to Brazil for 4 to 6 months)
  • Inclusions: For Canadian participants: visa-related expenses, airfare, health insurance, living expenses, ground transportation expenses, books and supplies, and other eligible expenses
  • Deadline: November 26, 2019
