Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program Awardee (2008-2012)

University of Manitoba (Peace and Conflict Studies, PhD)

This program has positively transformed me as a student. It has also transformed me as an individual and reinforced my sense of purpose in peace work and education, and my belief that we all have a responsibility and a daily role to play in building safer, more just, progressive, and humane communities. This ability to guide students along a transformative learning path is one of the aspects I’ve really appreciated about the program and its dedicated professors who mirror the authentic definition of teacher and mentor.

Equipped with a pragmatic spirit, I look forward to working with others in championing the cause of peace, social justice, development and human rights in environments where democracy and good governance are promoted as a norm. I look forward to making meaningful contributions that improve the livelihood of others in my country, the African region and global community at large.

I extend my heart-felt gratitude to the Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program for blessing me with this life-giving learning opportunity.
