Hi everyone! My name is Noemi, I am 24 years old and I am from Paris.

And this is the story of how I fell in love with Canada

So, it all started like a lot of people I guess. When I went on exchange there, I did part of my undergrad there.

I attended the University of Victoria in beautiful British Columbia. And, I mean, hands down one of the best years of my life. What else can I say?

Academically, I was able to study topics that I was really interested in and really mattered to me. And on a personal level, I met some of my best friends there and I still talk to today. Which is 3 years after my year abroad.

And overall, this trip changed me for the better. I became more open minded, more curious, and I became more confident because I traveled quite a bit.

All I want to say is, thank you. Thank you for everything that you have given me, thank you for the experiences that you allowed me to have while I was there.

Yeah, and I mean, Happy Birthday Canada. Stay awesome, and I cannot wait to go back this summer! I will be in Toronto for a couple days, it’s going to be awesome.
