April 29, 2026 - Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is offering scholarships to Canadian students wishing to pursue their studies at a Japanese university.

Research Students

• Funding organization: Government of Japan
• Target audiences: Canadians with Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Duration: 2 years or 18 months
• Inclusions: Full tuition, monthly allowance and round-trip flight.
• Deadline: May 29, 2026

Undergraduate Students

• Funding organization: Government of Japan
• Target audiences: Canadians with high school diploma or higher
• Duration: 5 years or 7 years
• Inclusions: Full tuition, monthly allowance and round-trip flight.
