Call for Applications: Canadian Indigenous Academic Groups
July 30, 2026 - The Government of Mexico, through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID), is accepting applications for the 2026 Call for Projects of Canadian Indigenous Academic Groups.
Canadian higher education institutions are invited to nominate Indigenous students and faculty members for short-term academic and cultural stays in Mexico.
The program aims to strengthen academic cooperation and cultural exchange between Mexico and Canada by promoting student mobility and knowledge exchange among Indigenous communities in both countries.
AMEXCID will provide up to 10 grants for participants from Canadian higher education institutions, including six (6) students and four (4) faculty members.
Groups must consist of one (1) faculty member and up to two (2) students who will undertake academic and cultural stays of up to 30 days between October and November 2026 at participating Mexican higher education institutions.
